Chillicothe Police Reports Highlight Various Incidents on July 11, 2024

Chillicothe, OH – July 11, 2024 — The Chillicothe Police Department responded to multiple incidents throughout the day on July 11, 2024, ranging from disorderly conduct to criminal trespass and more serious offenses.

The day began with an active fight outside the Wobbly Ghost on East Main Street, reported at 12:49 AM. Officers observed the altercation and intervened swiftly.

Later, at 3:25 AM, a traffic stop near 1082 North Bridge Street led to an investigation for failure to comply with police orders.

At 4:17 AM, officers responded to a disorderly conduct complaint at 452 Western Ave. The nature of the disturbance remains under investigation.

In another incident at 7:46 AM, a citation was issued for disobeying traffic control devices on Buckeye Street.

The morning continued with various traffic-related incidents, including a case at 12:41 PM involving failure to control a vehicle on Worthington Avenue.

At 3:50 PM, officers were dispatched to Walmart on River Trace Lane regarding a theft without consent.

In the evening, incidents included disorderly conduct at Krogers on Western Ave at 5:23 PM and a traffic stop on North Bridge Street at 5:50 PM resulting in a citation for texting while driving.

A more serious incident occurred at 6:11 PM on North Bridge Street, where a warrant was issued for operating a vehicle with an invalid plate.

At 6:37 PM, officers executed a search warrant at 35 North High Street, resulting in a weapons-related arrest.

Throughout the day, officers also responded to non-criminal incidents such as a lost cell phone reported at the Law Enforcement Center (LEC).

The day concluded with an incident of public indecency reported at 9:22 PM on Church Street, where officers continue to investigate.

The Chillicothe Police Department remains vigilant in responding to community needs and ensuring public safety. Investigations into these incidents are ongoing.
