Chillicothe Police Respond to 16 Incidents on April 19, Including Drug Arrest, Domestic Disputes, and Traffic Violations

CHILLICOTHE, OH – April 20, 2025 — Chillicothe Police officers were kept busy on Friday, April 19, responding to a variety of incidents throughout the city. A total of 16 reports were logged, ranging from drug-related arrests and domestic disputes to traffic violations and protection order violations.

Early Morning Arrests and Complaints

Just after midnight, officers stopped a vehicle near S Watt Street and Jefferson Avenue, leading to the arrest of an individual on an outstanding warrant, drug possession charges, and driving under suspension.

Around 2:53 a.m., police responded to a disorderly conduct call at 260 Long Street. Minutes later, another traffic stop was made on a black Dodge SUV on South Douglas Avenue. The driver was wanted on an outstanding warrant, and the investigation is ongoing.

At 4:04 a.m., officers were called to a residence on East 5th Street concerning a missing juvenile.

Domestic Disturbances and Protection Orders

A domestic disturbance was reported at 8:21 a.m. on North Brownell Street. Police confirmed a dispute took place and are continuing their investigation. Later that morning, officers responded to 149 Plum Street where a protection order violation was reported.

Afternoon Calls: Extortion, Harassment, and Juvenile Concerns

Police received a harassment complaint involving possible extortion at 702 Buckeye Street around 1:18 p.m. That same hour, officers responded to two other calls: one at Seminole Road and another on Maderia Avenue, where a juvenile was reported walking away from the area but had returned home by the time officers arrived.

Later in the afternoon, a traffic incident was reported on Madison Avenue involving a driver who left the scene. The crash report indicates the driver may have lost control of the vehicle.

At 3:39 p.m., officers responded to a domestic violence call at 481 E Second Street. One individual was arrested for allegedly causing physical harm.

Shortly afterward, a report of disorderly conduct and obstruction of official business was made at 741 E Main Street. The investigation is ongoing.

Evening Incidents on N Bridge Street

Police returned to East Second Street at 8:50 p.m. for a second report of a protection order violation. That was followed by a citation issued to a driver who squealed tires in front of the Goodwill parking lot. The driver admitted he was “being stupid.”

Later, around 9:51 p.m., a silver Toyota Solara was seen recklessly speeding through the Chillicothe Mall parking lot. A traffic stop was conducted and further action is pending.

The day ended with another reckless driving complaint near Dunham Sports on N Bridge Street. Officers responded around 11:06 p.m. to investigate.

Ongoing Investigations

Many of the cases remain under investigation as officers continue to gather details and process reports. Chillicothe Police encourage residents to report suspicious activity and continue cooperating with law enforcement efforts.
