
CHILLICOTHE, OH – April 12, 2025 — Officers with the Chillicothe Police Department responded to a variety of incidents across the city on Thursday, April 11, 2025, ranging from domestic disputes and warrants to traffic violations and criminal trespassing.
The day began with a dispatch to Madison Avenue around 2:09 a.m. for a reported domestic dispute. A follow-up at 250 Fairway Ave. at 4:20 a.m. resulted in a suspect resisting arrest, as well as a warrant being issued.
Throughout the morning, officers conducted multiple traffic stops on Park Street, North Paint Street, and West 5th Street, citing offenses including speeding and texting while driving. One vehicle was towed from East 5th Street, and a threats complaint was recorded on Logan Street, though it was classified as a non-criminal incident.
By the afternoon, trespassing became a recurring issue. Officers were dispatched to Theatre Street, North Bridge Street, and Liberty Street for complaints of individuals loitering or unlawfully remaining on private property. At BP on N. Bridge St., a male subject was formally barred from the premises after loitering while waiting on his girlfriend, an employee at a nearby business.
Police also made contact with a man wanted on a warrant at 186 W. Main Street, near Henderson Pharmacy.
Evening hours saw additional complaints, including one at 319 S. Paint Street and another near 40 N. Bridge Street, both involving trespassing. Officers also responded to a crash on Piatt Avenue with injuries reported. A citation was issued in that case, and a full crash report was filed.
The final call of the night was a criminal mischief report at Lincoln Park around 10:15 p.m., where someone had allegedly tampered with property. That case remains under investigation.
In total, the Chillicothe Police Department logged 19 reports in a single day, many of which remain under investigation.
