CHILLICOTHE, OH — Chillicothe Police officers were busy Thursday, April 10, responding to 21 calls for service throughout the city. The incidents ranged from criminal trespass and drug-related offenses to traffic crashes and warrant arrests.

In the early morning hours, officers were called to E. Main Street for a criminal trespass incident. Shortly afterward, a threat complaint on S. Paint Street led to a drug possession investigation involving a Schedule I or II substance.

Throughout the day, officers responded to multiple traffic accidents on Western Avenue and North Bridge Street, several resulting in citations for failure to yield or maintain proper following distance.

Police also investigated reports of telecommunications harassment and a possible scam on E. Main Street. Several individuals were taken into custody on outstanding warrants during the day, and at least two shoplifting incidents were reported on River Trace Lane.

In one notable incident at W. 5th Street, officers were called to investigate a protection order violation, which may also involve a burglary.

Additional cases of disorderly conduct, criminal trespass, and driving with expired tags were also reported. Investigations into many of the incidents remain ongoing.

Chillicothe Police remind the public that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
