CHILLICOTHE, OH (April 24, 2025) — Chillicothe Police were kept busy on April 23, responding to nearly two dozen incidents ranging from routine traffic violations to drug possession, domestic violence, and theft reports across the city.

Shortly after midnight, a driver was pulled over on Eastern Avenue for operating a vehicle without a valid temporary permit. Just over an hour later, another traffic stop on North Bridge Street resulted in an arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia.

A hit-and-run on South Hickory Street launched an ongoing investigation, while officers also served a warrant at a residence on Akron Street later that morning.

Multiple drivers were cited for texting while driving, including stops near Paint and Eastern Avenue. Several others were caught driving under suspension or without valid licenses in different parts of town.

Criminal mischief, trespassing, and multiple thefts were also reported throughout the day. A particularly active stretch occurred on North Bridge, East Second, and Columbus streets, with ongoing investigations in each case.

Officers picked up a woman with an outstanding warrant from Pickaway County Jail and later responded to a domestic dispute on Toledo Street, with a second domestic call coming from Wetzel Drive just hours later.

The day ended with a call about a disorderly juvenile at Sherman Park and a theft at Burger King on North Bridge. At 11:25 p.m., police responded to a suspicious vehicle on East Fifth Street, leading to the discovery of drugs and another warrant arrest.

As investigations continue, Chillicothe Police remind residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.

Stay safe, Chillicothe.
