
CHILLICOTHE — Officers with the Chillicothe Police Department responded to a wide range of incidents across the city on Thursday, April 25, 2025, according to their daily media report.
Throughout the day, police made several warrant arrests, including individuals found at South Bridge Street, East Second Street, South Hickory Street, and Eighth Street. In one case, an individual wanted on multiple drug trafficking charges was taken into custody.
An aggravated menacing and terroristic threat complaint was reported at the Law Enforcement Complex when an agitated individual allegedly threatened to “shoot up” the city and the police department following a dispute over housing paperwork. Officers quickly intervened, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Unruly juvenile behavior also kept officers busy, with separate calls for runaway juveniles and complaints at locations including Scioto Avenue and River Trace Lane.
Police also responded to multiple reports of theft, including incidents at McKeller Street, Church Street, and Triple Crown Sports. Several criminal trespass investigations were launched in connection with these complaints.
Officers investigated an OVI (Operating a Vehicle Impaired) case on Gerber Avenue and conducted numerous traffic stops for infractions ranging from driving without headlights to suspended licenses. A crash at Consumer Center Drive and a disorderly conduct complaint involving an intoxicated individual at Rural King were also logged.
Additionally, officers were dispatched to Western Avenue after reports of a fight between two males, one of whom allegedly had a firearm. The situation remains under investigation.
Overall, police handled 27 separate incidents during the 24-hour period, ranging from minor infractions to more serious threats and criminal investigations.
