Chillicothe Police Respond to Bloodied Man Who Claims He Was Pistol Whipped

CHILLICOTHE – Chillicothe police responded yesterday to what was reported as a home invasion and Aggravated Assault.

Chillicothe Police were dispatched to 100 block of Race Street around 1:30 pm when a homeowner reported that a man who was staying at his home was covered in blood.

The homeowner was shaken when talking to police but told the story of when he arrived home he found his friend covered and blood, and said he was assaulted by several people one with a pistol.

The man who was assaulted who had a warrant out against him in Chillicothe said he didn’t want to press charges but the roommate when pressed by police told the entire story as it was told to him.

The homeowner said that four people entered his home through an open back door, one of them pulled a pistol out and pointed it at the roommate. He then pistol-whipped him multiple times. Police did find blood splatter in the bedroom and up the walls. According to the homeowner, this incident was over the roommate “robbing” the man who pistol-whipped him.

The incident is still under investigation, and police told all parties if they had any more issues.
