Chillicothe Police Respond to Domestic Disputes, Thefts, and Arrests in Daily Activity

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – Officers with the Chillicothe Police Department were kept busy on December 7, 2024, with a variety of incidents, including thefts, domestic disputes, and arrests.

Notable Incidents:

  • Disorderly Intoxication: Shortly after midnight, officers were dispatched to a domestic dispute on N. Brownell Street.
  • Theft at Pilot Station: A theft was reported at the Pilot gas station on E. Main Street around 12:51 a.m. The investigation is ongoing.
  • Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest: A traffic stop at 1:32 a.m. resulted in charges for multiple offenses, including Operating a Vehicle Impaired (OVI) and driving under suspension.
  • Trespassing at McDonald’s: Around 6:36 a.m., police responded to a trespassing complaint at the McDonald’s on N. Bridge Street. The individual involved reportedly resisted arrest.
  • Protection Order Violation: Authorities are investigating a possible protection order violation reported on Lake Drive at 9:08 a.m.
  • Domestic Violence Arrest: Officers were called to E. Second Street at 2:45 p.m. for a domestic dispute, which led to charges for simple assault and domestic violence.
  • Thefts Reported at Walmart and Downtown: A suspected shoplifting incident at Walmart on River Trace Lane was reported at 11:03 p.m., while another theft on W. Water Street is under investigation.

Additional Calls:

  • Routine traffic stops on N. Paint and N. Bridge streets resulted in citations for expired plates and improper signaling.
  • Officers responded to a medical call for an elderly man experiencing altered mental status at a care facility on Cherry Street.
