
Chillicothe, OH – Chillicothe Police Department responded to a range of incidents on Thursday, April 3, resulting in multiple arrests and ongoing investigations across the city.
Domestic Disputes & Disorderly Conduct
The day began just after midnight when officers were dispatched to 849 E 4th St for a domestic dispute, which was later classified as an assault case. Later in the afternoon, police were called to Park Street for another domestic situation involving two individuals. Both parties were separated and issued warnings for disorderly conduct. While still at the scene, a separate complaint was filed involving alleged misuse of a credit card by one of the individuals.
Warrants Served & Arrests Made
Officers served multiple arrest warrants throughout the day, including two on S. Brownell Street and two more inside the Ross County Jail. A man at the intersection of Watt and 7th Street seeking a ride to a homeless shelter was found to have an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on a prior disorderly conduct charge. He was arrested and transported to the Ross County Jail.

Criminal Trespass & Theft
Several criminal trespass complaints were logged, including incidents at the Cardinal Treatment Center on Western Avenue, a property on South Sugar Street, and the Chillicothe Post Acute facility on Columbus Street, which also resulted in an arrest. Police also responded to a theft incident at the Walmart on River Trace Lane. The suspect allegedly used deception to commit the theft; the case is ongoing.
Drug Possession & Public Disturbances
Officers assisted another agency with a drug possession case near Renick Avenue and Columbus Street. Disorderly conduct related to intoxication was reported at Los Mariachis restaurant at Central Center, tied to a reckless driving complaint.
Other Incidents
Officers also responded to a report of a property damage accident at Eighth and South Bridge streets, involving failure to stay in marked lanes. A non-criminal juvenile complaint and multiple disorderly or suspicious conduct reports rounded out the department’s activity.
In total, Chillicothe Police documented 18 individual case reports over the course of the day, showcasing a mix of enforcement activity and ongoing community safety concerns. Several investigations remain open.
