CHILLICOTHE, OH – The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a variety of incidents on February 15, 2025, ranging from traffic violations to theft and disorderly conduct, according to the department’s daily media report.
Traffic Violations and Arrests:
- Officers conducted multiple traffic stops along North Bridge Street, issuing citations for violations including driving under suspension, expired plates, and failure to obey traffic control devices.
- A warrant arrest was made on North Paint Street just before 2 a.m.
- Another traffic stop on North Bridge Street led to a citation for a twelve-point license suspension.
Theft and Property Crimes:
- A theft complaint was reported at 358 E. 4th Street, with an investigation pending.
- Officers responded to 1555 N. Bridge Street for an incident involving the unauthorized use of a vehicle after it was not returned following a test drive.
- A separate theft investigation involved a scam reported in the lobby of the Law Enforcement Complex.
Disorderly Conduct and Domestic Disputes:
- Officers responded to several disorderly conduct complaints throughout the city, including incidents at Fix-A-Phone on North Bridge Street, Tiffin Towers on South Walnut Street, and the YMCA on Mill Street. Investigations into these disturbances remain ongoing.
- Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Park Street regarding an assault claim; however, no evidence was found to support the complaint.
Scam Investigation:
- A case involving impersonation of a peace officer and theft was reported at the police station lobby. Authorities are continuing their investigation.
