Chillicothe Police Respond to Multiple Incidents in Daily Report

CHILLICOTHE, OH – March 6, 2025 – The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a variety of incidents on March 5, ranging from disorderly conduct and theft to a non-suspicious death investigation, according to the department’s daily media report.

Early Morning Incidents
Officers were dispatched to Orange Street at approximately 2:30 a.m. regarding a disorderly conduct complaint. Shortly after, a hit-skip motor vehicle accident was reported on Wetzel Drive at 3:46 a.m.

Traffic Violations and Investigations
Throughout the morning, officers conducted multiple traffic stops, including one on Yoctangee Parkway for speeding and two separate incidents on Main Street and Gerber Avenue for texting while driving.

A case involving a stolen vehicle was reported on Consumer Center Drive at 9:39 a.m., with an associated follow-up investigation on Akron Street later that morning.

Theft and Property Crimes
Police responded to multiple theft complaints, including incidents on Vine Street, Woodbridge Avenue, and East 7th Street, where a stolen firearm was reported. Investigations are ongoing in these cases.

Juvenile Complaint
At 12:42 p.m., authorities were contacted by Unioto Elementary School regarding a juvenile-related complaint. The nature of the complaint has not been disclosed, and an investigation is underway.

Traffic and Reckless Operation
A driver was stopped at N. Mulberry and E. Main Street for running a red light, and another incident involved a vehicle operating on a floodwall in a reckless manner near E. Main Street and Leggett Avenue.

Non-Suspicious Death Investigation
At 4:41 p.m., officers responded to a residence on East 7th Street for a report of a deceased female. Authorities have determined the death to be non-suspicious, but an investigation is ongoing.
