Chillicothe police responded to several incidents on December 19, 2024, including domestic disputes, thefts, disorderly conduct, and other criminal activities.
At 2:43 a.m., officers were dispatched to 910 Gilmore Street regarding a possible domestic violence situation. The investigation is ongoing. Just a few hours later, at 4:46 a.m., another call was received, this time from 197 Western Avenue about a possible burglary. Investigators continue to probe the incident.
Around 9:45 a.m., officers responded to Job and Family Services on Western Avenue after a report of potential identity theft. This case remains under investigation. Later in the day, at 11:18 a.m., a “hit-skip” incident was reported on Monroe Avenue.
The afternoon saw multiple theft-related complaints. At 12:19 p.m., police were called to Rural King on North Bridge Street for a theft, and at 3:41 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., officers responded to Walmart on River Trace Lane for separate theft reports. Both investigations are still ongoing.
A non-criminal issue was addressed at 4:48 p.m. when police were contacted over the phone regarding a possible civil matter on North Bridge Street. The case is under review.
Later that evening, at 6:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to Tiffin Towers on South Walnut Street for a disorderly conduct report. The investigation is pending. Then, at 6:51 p.m., another disorderly conduct complaint was made on Monroe Avenue. Investigators are continuing to look into this incident.
At 7:08 p.m., officers responded to another disorderly conduct call at Tiffin Towers, where they arrested Jarrod Bartley, who was found to have an active warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody without incident.
At 7:31 p.m., while on patrol, officers made contact with an individual known to have an active warrant. The investigation into this person’s connection to the warrant is ongoing.
At 7:50 p.m., a call about an unruly juvenile was received from 80 Logan Street. Officers continue to investigate the situation. Later, at 8:13 p.m., officers responded to a domestic dispute on North Sugar Street, which remains under investigation.
The final incident of the night occurred at 9:16 p.m. on Columbus Street, where police were called to McArthur Gardens after a male subject allegedly threatened to stab people on the property. This case is under investigation as well.
In total, the Chillicothe Police Department handled 15 incidents on December 19, including arrests, ongoing investigations, and public safety concerns.
