
CHILLICOTHE, OH – The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a series of incidents throughout the city on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, including thefts, traffic crashes, disorderly conduct, and warrant-related cases.
Warrant Arrests and Trespassing:
Authorities traveled to Highland County Jail to execute a warrant. Officers also responded to South Walnut Street and Yoctangee Parkway for trespassing complaints, with one case escalating to disorderly conduct and criminal trespass.
Theft Investigations Ongoing:
Several reports of theft without consent were filed, including an incident at Dollar General on East Main Street, a stolen license plate complaint on North Paint Street, and a shoplifting case at Walmart on River Trace Lane.
Disorderly Conduct and Domestic Disputes:
Multiple disorderly conduct complaints were reported, including cases on Walnut Hills Drive, South Sugar Street, Wetzel Drive, and East Water Street. Officers responded to a domestic complaint at Wetzel Drive, where an investigation is ongoing.
Traffic Crashes and Violations:
Several traffic incidents were reported, including:
- Burbridge Street, Western Avenue, and West 5th Street – Failure to control and weaving.
- North Hickory Street – A pedestrian was struck in a crosswalk after a driver failed to yield. The driver was cited.
- West Main Street and North Walnut Street – A driver was cited for failing to obey traffic control devices.
