
Chillicothe law enforcement was actively engaged on February 21, 2025, responding to a variety of incidents throughout the city, including drug overdoses, thefts, assaults, and traffic violations.
Drug Overdoses:
Officers were dispatched to two separate overdose incidents. The first occurred at 110 Maple Ave at approximately 12:07 a.m., while the second took place at 203 E 2nd St around 4:53 p.m. In the latter case, the patient refused hospital transport.
Criminal Trespassing & Suspicious Activity:
Authorities responded to multiple reports of trespassing, including incidents at McArthur Gardens on Columbus St. and a separate complaint on E Water St. Suspicious activity was also observed on N High St, with an investigation still ongoing.
Theft & Shoplifting:
Police investigated several theft-related incidents, including shoplifting reports from Walmart on River Trace Ln and Rural King on N Bridge St. A separate theft complaint was also reported at the Law Enforcement Center (LEC) earlier in the day.
Assault & Domestic Violence:
Officers responded to an assault and domestic violence incident on Yoctangee Pkwy involving a juvenile. Details remain under investigation.
Traffic Violations & Accidents:
A crash occurred at Taco Bell West on Western Ave, with police continuing their investigation. Another incident involved a failure to yield on N Bridge St. Additionally, a driver on S Paint St ran a red light and was cited following a traffic stop.
Disorderly Conduct & Vandalism:
Police were called to Dunham’s Sports on N Bridge St regarding disorderly behavior. Later in the evening, officers responded to a criminal mischief case at Sherman Park involving vandalism.
