Chillicothe Police Respond to Multiple Incidents on January 31

CHILLICOTHE, OH – The Chillicothe Police Department (CPD) responded to a variety of incidents on January 31, 2025, ranging from warrants and traffic stops to felonious assault and firearms-related offenses.

Felonious Assault and Weapons Charges

  • 359 Vine St. (1:36 AM) – Officers were dispatched in response to an assault. The investigation remains ongoing.
  • Enderlin Circle (11:47 PM) – Officers responded to a report of shots fired near the Floodwall by the Pump House. A suspect was found carrying a concealed weapon and allegedly discharging a firearm. The investigation is ongoing.

Traffic Violations and Warrant Arrests

  • Multiple traffic stops were conducted throughout the day, resulting in citations for offenses such as expired plates, driving without a motorcycle endorsement, and failure to yield at stop signs.
  • East Main Street (12:19 PM) – Officers served a warrant on an individual at Chillicothe Municipal Court.
  • North Paint Street (7:44 PM) – Police arrested Kayla Lord on a warrant related to drug abuse instruments. She is being held pending a court appearance.

Theft and Criminal Trespassing Incidents

  • BP Gas Station, 760 N. Bridge St. (2:47 AM) – A report of theft was made, and the case is under investigation.
  • McArthur Gardens, 1049 Columbus St. (12:19 PM & 12:39 PM) – Officers responded to two incidents: one involving theft and another concerning criminal trespassing.

Disorderly Conduct and Domestic Disputes

  • University Drive (9:52 AM) – Officers were dispatched to Traditions in response to a domestic issue.
  • Maderia Avenue (8:22 AM) – A domestic dispute was reported, with an ongoing investigation.
  • East 4th Street (5:07 PM) – A disorderly intoxication incident was reported following a 911 call.

Other Notable Incidents

  • Adams Avenue (11:31 PM) – Officers responded to a report of a burglary.
  • Yoctangee Parkway (9:35 AM) – A juvenile complaint was recorded.
  • Deer Path (3:36 PM) – Police investigated a report of an unruly juvenile.
