
Chillicothe, OH – March 11, 2025 – The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a variety of calls on March 10, 2025, ranging from vandalism and theft to traffic violations and disorderly conduct. Investigations remain ongoing in several cases.
Vandalism and Criminal Mischief
- South Renick Avenue (3:50 AM): Officers were dispatched to 215 S. Renick Ave. for a report of vandalism. The case remains under investigation.
- East Main Street (8:25 AM): Another criminal mischief complaint was reported in the 1000 block of E. Main St., with authorities taking a report and launching an investigation.
- Scioto Avenue (6:37 PM): A vandalism incident was reported at 203 Scioto Ave., with police looking into the matter.
Hit-Skip and Traffic Violations
- Church Street (5:21 AM): Officers responded to 247 Church St. regarding a hit-skip crash.
- N. Paint Street (9:33 AM): A vehicle with expired plates was cited for unpaid parking violations and towed.
- Massie Avenue (3:47 PM): A driver was stopped after recklessly accelerating and passing multiple vehicles near Eastern Ave. and Massie Ave.
- St. Andrews Blvd (4:04 PM): A two-vehicle crash occurred at Western Ave. and St. Andrews Blvd. after a driver made a left turn and was struck.
Theft Reports
- South Walnut Street (9:29 AM): Officers responded to Tiffin Towers at 78 S. Walnut St. on a theft complaint. The investigation is ongoing.
- River Trace Lane (1:36 PM): Walmart asset protection officers reported a series of thefts occurring between January 2 and March 7, involving two suspects.
Disorderly Conduct and Assaults
- East 4th Street (10:45 AM): A disorderly conduct complaint resulted in a citation being issued.
- N. Sugar Street (7:56 PM): Officers were called to 144 N. Sugar St. for a reported assault. The case remains open.
Criminal Trespass and Warrants
- Hirn Street (4:21 PM): Police were dispatched to 163 Hirn St. for a burglary complaint. Investigation is pending.
- N. Paint Street (4:00 PM & 4:25 PM): Officers served two warrants, including one for probation violation related to an OVI charge.
Juvenile and Non-Criminal Complaints
- N. Poplar Street (7:33 PM): Officers responded to 162 N. Poplar St. for an unruly child complaint.
- Vine Street (7:33 PM): A juvenile-related incident was reported near Vine St. and Chestnut St., with authorities investigating.
