
CHILLICOTHE, OH – The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a wide range of incidents on March 12, 2025, including traffic stops, warrants, theft, and drug-related offenses.
Traffic Stops and Violations
Throughout the day, officers conducted multiple traffic stops for various infractions. Early in the morning, stops were made on East Main Street and North Bridge Street for license plate and lighting violations. Additional stops were conducted on Yoctangee Parkway in a school zone, East Main Street, and East Water Street for speeding and stop sign infractions. In the evening, officers responded to a failure-to-yield crash on North Bridge Street and cited a driver on South Bridge Street for driving under suspension.
Criminal and Disorderly Incidents
Police responded to several calls involving criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. An officer was dispatched to Maderia Avenue for a disorderly conduct complaint, while vandalism was reported on West 7th Street. Later in the morning, officers investigated a disorderly conduct case on Mohican Court from the previous day.
Drug and Warrant Arrests
Officers made multiple drug-related arrests and warrant services. A drug possession case was reported at Dollar General on Central Center, and a second drug-related incident involved a traffic stop on Columbus Street in the evening. Warrants were served throughout the day, including at locations on Diehl Street, North Bridge Street, and Dayton Street.
Theft and Fraud Cases
Several cases of theft and fraud were investigated. Officers responded to Kingston National Bank for a counterfeit bill and to Ross County Bank for a case of identity fraud. A theft report was also taken at McArthur Gardens on Columbus Street.
Assault and Aggravated Menacing
In the evening, officers were dispatched to Piatt Avenue for an aggravated menacing complaint. Later, they responded to a domestic dispute on Erie Street, where an assault report was taken.
Other Notable Incidents
- Officers responded to a complaint about a suspicious vehicle at a Pilot gas station on East Main Street.
- An unruly juvenile case was investigated on Mechanic Street just before midnight.
