Chillicothe Police Respond to Multiple Incidents on March 14

Chillicothe, OH – March 15, 2025 – The Chillicothe Police Department (CPD) responded to a variety of incidents on March 14, ranging from disorderly conduct and traffic violations to a missing person report and an ongoing domestic violence investigation.

Major Incidents:

  • Overdose Reported: Officers were dispatched to 394 E. 7th St. early in the morning regarding a possible overdose.
  • Domestic Violence Investigation: Detectives opened an investigation following a referral from Nationwide Children’s Hospital. The case remains under review.
  • Missing Person Case: Authorities responded to a report of a missing person on S. Brownell St. The investigation is ongoing.
  • Hit-and-Run: Police were called to River Trace Ln. regarding a hit-skip crash. Officers are continuing to investigate.
  • Warrant Investigation: A suspect with an outstanding warrant was located at E. 4th St. Officers attempted to make contact, and the case is under review.
  • Counterfeit Money Found: McDonald’s on N. Bridge St. reported the discovery of counterfeit money. Authorities are looking into the source.

Disorderly Conduct & Public Disturbances:

  • Officers responded to multiple disorderly conduct reports, including an intoxicated individual creating a risk of harm on E. 7th St. and another found passed out in a driveway on Columbus St.
  • A domestic dispute led to an active investigation on McKeller St.
  • A disturbance at a business on N. Plaza Blvd. resulted in the removal of an individual at the request of management.

Traffic & Law Enforcement Actions:

  • Multiple traffic stops were conducted for speeding violations, including incidents on Yoctangee Parkway, E. Main St., and Arch St.
  • A reckless driving violation was observed near TJ Maxx, and the case remains under investigation.
  • A minor motor vehicle crash occurred on W. Water St., resulting in a citation but no injuries.

The CPD continues its efforts to maintain public safety and urges residents to report any suspicious activity. Investigations into the ongoing cases remain active.
