Chillicothe Police Respond to Multiple Incidents on September 29, 2024

The Chillicothe Police Department handled a series of incidents on September 29, 2024, including thefts, disorderly conduct, and drug-related offenses.

Disorderly Conduct at Sherman Park
Officers were dispatched to Sherman Park just before 1 a.m. after receiving reports of disorderly conduct. Authorities are still investigating the situation.

Theft on Caldwell Street
At 7:26 a.m., officers responded to a theft complaint at 207 Caldwell Street. The case remains under investigation.

Juvenile Situation at McDonald’s Resolved
A report of a juvenile in a McDonald’s on North Bridge Street without an adult prompted police action around 8:13 a.m. The child’s parents arrived at the scene, and no further action was needed.

Identity Fraud on North Paint Street
A report of identity fraud was made at 9:58 a.m. on North Paint Street. Police are investigating the case.

Theft and Assault on North Brownell Street
Later that afternoon, officers were called to 152 North Brownell Street for an assault and theft. The investigation is ongoing.

Domestic Disputes and Disorderly Conduct
Several domestic disputes were reported throughout the day, including one on North Rose Street at 4:27 p.m. and another on East 4th Street at 5:09 p.m. Both cases remain under investigation.

Drug-Related Offenses
At 6:17 p.m., officers responded to River Trace Lane, where drug paraphernalia was found. Another drug-related arrest occurred at 8:33 p.m. on Dayton Street after a traffic stop.

Traffic Stops and Arrests
A traffic stop on Eastern Avenue at 7:59 p.m. resulted in a citation for driving under suspension. At 9:24 p.m., officers arrested a man on Eastern Avenue with an outstanding warrant after finding him undressing in a yard. The suspect, identified as Kevin Cantrell, was transported to the Ross County Jail.

Other Reports
In the final hours of the day, officers took a report after two women argued over a bike on East Second Street.
