Chillicothe Police Respond to Multiple Thefts, Warrants, and Juvenile Incidents

CHILLICOTHE, OH – The Chillicothe Police Department’s daily media report for April 1, 2025, details a series of incidents, including multiple thefts, the execution of several warrants, and disturbances involving juveniles.

Officers began the day responding to a criminal damaging/endangering and theft report on West Water Street. Shortly after, a traffic stop on North Bridge Street resulted in an investigation for a twelve-point suspension.

Several theft incidents were reported throughout the day, including a theft from a motor vehicle on East 5th Street and a shoplifting incident at Kroger on North Bridge Street. A breaking and entering of a shed was reported on North Poplar Street.

Warrant arrests were a significant part of the day’s activity. Officers apprehended individuals with active warrants at McArthur Gardens on Columbus Street, at the Ross/Pickaway county line, and at the Ross County Jail. One individual, Caleb Manning, was arrested near the library on South Paint Street for warrants out of Pike County.

Detectives also opened an investigation into drug trafficking in the city.

Juvenile incidents required police attention. Officers responded to an unruly juvenile complaint on West 7th Street and an assault involving a juvenile on East Main Street, resulting in a juvenile arrest.

Traffic accidents were also reported on Safford Avenue and Piatt Avenue. A driver on Olive Street was cited for failure to control/weaving course after striking a parked vehicle.

Officers responded to a disorderly conduct complaint on East Main Street and a criminal trespass complaint at Consumer Center Drive. A burglary was reported on South Brownell Street.

The report also indicates officers responded to a possible overdose on West 7th Street and a complaint on Mill Street, with investigations ongoing.
