Chillicothe, OH – Over the course of July 21st, 2024, Chillicothe Police Department officers responded to a series of incidents across the city, reflecting a busy day for law enforcement.
The day began with officers dispatched to 24 Delaware Dr. in response to a threats complaint, which remains under investigation for obstructing official business and disorderly conduct.
Shortly thereafter, a traffic stop on North Bridge St. resulted in charges for driving under suspension and failure to reinstate a license. The incident is currently under investigation.
A patrol along South Watt St. led to the discovery of a vehicle with expired registration. The driver, identified as Lee Anthony Buckner, admitted to the violation and faces charges related to driving under suspension and random verification.
Further incidents included disorderly conduct reports on East Main St. and Vincent St., both prompting ongoing investigations.
A domestic dispute at 467 E Water St. escalated into charges of unlawful restraint and domestic violence, with investigations ongoing.
A call concerning theft and misuse of a credit card on South Paint St. highlighted financial crime concerns, while another theft incident at 99 Bowman Rd. remains under investigation.
At Sam’s Club on North Bridge St., officers responded to a report of criminal mischief, with details pending investigation.
On Allen Ave., police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving drug paraphernalia and failure to control a vehicle, with ongoing investigation.
Later in the evening, officers addressed disorderly conduct and intoxication risks on Prospect St., leading to an arrest.
Other incidents included an unlawful license plate operation on Clay St., a drug overdose call on North Poplar St., and a property damage report on Enterprise Place Dr.
Additional traffic violations were addressed throughout the day, including red light violations on Watt St. and rear light requirements on North Bridge St.
The day concluded with a warrant arrest on Church St., where Jason Preston was apprehended for an active warrant related to child support.
Finally, a traffic stop on North Bridge St. resulted in charges related to a missing license plate light and failure to reinstate a license for Elizabeth Ann Rutter.
