
CHILLICOTHE, OH – April 25, 2025 — Chillicothe Police responded to a variety of incidents across the city on Thursday, April 24, according to the department’s daily media report. A total of 27 reports were filed, spanning offenses from drug possession and trespassing to domestic violence and multiple warrant arrests.
Early in the morning, officers made a traffic stop at the intersection of Bridge and Main Streets, where the driver allegedly failed to comply with law enforcement orders. Later, around 1:15 a.m., police were called to the Speedway gas station at the same intersection, where a suspect was reportedly trespassing. The individual was found in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Both incidents remain under investigation.
Throughout the day, officers conducted multiple traffic stops, citing violations such as driving under suspension, fictitious plates, and failure to obey traffic control devices. One traffic stop at 12:37 p.m. on Arch Street led to charges for operating a vehicle under an OVI suspension.
Warrant-related arrests were a recurring theme, with officers responding to at least six separate warrant cases between 9:23 a.m. and 4:53 p.m., including arrests made at the municipal court, the jail, and various city streets such as Ewing, E. 7th, and N. Paint.
Other notable calls included:
- A theft reported at Menards on North Bridge Street.
- A disorderly conduct incident involving a man with a machete on Liberty Street.
- A domestic violence and resisting arrest call on Keller Road.
- A report of runaway juveniles from Mechanic Street.
- Multiple non-criminal reports involving found property and a recovered wallet.
The day’s incidents concluded with a motor vehicle accident near Chestnut Street and Gerber Avenue, where a driver was cited for failure to control.
Investigations into several of these matters are ongoing. Chillicothe Police continue to urge residents to report suspicious activity and assist in maintaining community safety.
