
CIRCLEVILLE, OH – April 6, 2025 — The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a variety of incidents across the city on Saturday, April 5, ranging from protection order violations to theft, drug possession, and disorderly conduct.
Just after midnight, officers responded to a possible protection order violation at an apartment on East 2nd Street. The suspect is also being investigated for resisting arrest and obstructing official business. The investigation remains ongoing.
Shortly thereafter, officers were called to a crash scene at Hooks Pizza on West 5th Street. No injuries were reported.
Later in the early morning hours, officers handled a criminal trespass case at a University Drive address, and a separate stop on East Main Street led to the arrest of a subject on an outstanding warrant, who was also found in possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance.

At around 8 a.m., officers were dispatched to Grace Fellowship Church on Mill Street for found property. The investigation is ongoing.
Officers also responded to multiple non-criminal matters, including a civil theft complaint at the Consumer Center and a disturbance involving animals running loose on East 2nd Street.
Trespassing complaints were reported throughout the day, including at Buried Treasures on West Main Street, Wal-Mart on River Trace Lane, and a residence on Pohlman Road in Chillicothe. Investigations into these cases are still active.
A shoplifting incident was reported at Rural King on North Bridge Street, and another theft-related call was made from Wal-Mart later that evening.
In one of the more serious incidents of the day, police were called to Wal-Mart on River Trace Lane around 9:45 p.m. for a disturbance involving a warrant subject who also faces potential assault charges. Another late-night disorderly conduct incident was handled at McDonald’s on North Bridge Street.
