CHILLICOTHE, OH – April 14, 2025
Chillicothe police officers were kept busy on Sunday, April 13, responding to a range of incidents across the city, from thefts and trespassing to disorderly conduct and vandalism.
One early morning traffic stop on Consumer Center Drive led to an investigation into a driver allegedly operating a vehicle under OVI suspension. Just hours later, officers were called to Pilot on East Main Street for a trespassing complaint involving a non-compliant individual.
At Walmart on River Trace Lane, officers arrested Kyle Bentley for theft and criminal trespassing, as he had previously been banned from the premises. Bentley was transported to the Ross County Jail.
The day also included several disorderly conduct calls—including one at Sherman Park involving a juvenile—and multiple reports of criminal mischief and vandalism, including at locations on Park Street and Columbus Street.
Officers also investigated theft reports on N. High Street, Akron Street, and River Trace Lane. One of the thefts involved a stolen lawn mower.
Several calls involved non-criminal matters, including well-being checks, juvenile incidents, and follow-ups at the Law Enforcement Complex.
In total, Chillicothe Police logged 18 reports throughout the day. Many of the incidents remain under investigation.
