
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Chillicothe Police Department (CPD) released its daily media report for March 19, 2025, detailing a range of incidents, including traffic violations, thefts, vandalism, and disorderly conduct throughout the city.
Traffic Stops and Speeding Citations
Officers conducted multiple traffic stops for speeding violations on North Bridge Street, Western Avenue, East Main Street, and West Main Street. Additional stops were made for failure to yield at intersections and right-of-way violations on North Mulberry Street and West Water Street.
Vehicle Trespass and Vandalism
Authorities responded to two separate reports of vehicle trespassing on Clay Street in the 200 and 300 blocks. Both incidents are currently under investigation.
Pedestrian Crash on Allen Avenue
A pedestrian was struck at the intersection of Allen Avenue and Vine Street. Officers responded to the scene, and the investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing.
Motor Vehicle Theft on South Brownell Street
A report was filed for the theft of two dirt bikes from a residence on South Brownell Street. Police are actively investigating the case.
Juvenile Disturbance at Sherman Park
Officers were dispatched to Sherman Park following a complaint about an unruly juvenile. The investigation is still pending.
Hit-and-Run and Failure to Control
Police responded to an accident involving a hit-skip at East 8th Street and Knoles Avenue. Another incident of failure to control was reported on West Water Street.
Menacing and Criminal Trespassing
A threats complaint was reported on Park Street, leading to an investigation into menacing behavior. Additionally, officers were called to Zane Village and East Water Street for criminal trespassing complaints.
Disorderly Conduct and Domestic Disputes
Multiple reports of disorderly conduct were made on Park Street, with one incident involving a domestic dispute. Officers also responded to Columbia Avenue for an identity fraud complaint and a warrant service on Delano Avenue.
Drug Paraphernalia and Public Intoxication
A welfare check on North Bridge Street led to an arrest after officers discovered drug paraphernalia and signs of public intoxication.
CPD continues to investigate several of these incidents and urges residents to report any information related to ongoing cases.
