
CHILLICOTHE, OH – The Chillicothe Police Department’s daily media report for March 31, 2025, reveals a busy day for local law enforcement, with officers responding to a range of incidents including vehicle theft, a drug overdose, and numerous disorderly conduct complaints.
The day began with a report of a stolen vehicle from East 4th Street, prompting an investigation by officers. Later in the afternoon, officers were dispatched to Eastern Avenue for a reported drug overdose. The investigation into the overdose is ongoing.
Disorderly conduct calls were prevalent throughout the day, with incidents reported on East Main Street, East 4th Street, North Bridge Street, and East 5th Street. Officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding these incidents.
Traffic violations also kept officers busy. A driver was cited for operating a vehicle without a valid license and improper license plates on North Bridge Street. Later, another driver was stopped on West 4th Street near South Walnut Street for failing to signal a turn. That driver was also cited for driving under suspension. Additionally, a separate traffic stop on North Bridge Street resulted in further investigation for red light violations and drug paraphernalia.
Officers also responded to reports of criminal mischief at Red Dot Storage on Western Avenue and criminal trespass on East Main Street. Shawn Lyons was barred from the properties at 543 E Main St and 15 N Rose St.
A non-suspicious death was reported on South Hickory Street, with officers responding to an unresponsive male. Welfare checks and trespassing complaints were also investigated on Allen Avenue and South Douglas Avenue, respectively.
The report also details the execution of multiple warrants. One warrant was served in the area behind the Law Enforcement Center, and another at McArthur Gardens on Columbus Street.
