
CHILLICOTHE, OH – A routine domestic dispute call led to a major drug bust in Chillicothe on January 29, 2025, after officers from the Chillicothe Police Department discovered a significant amount of cocaine and methamphetamine during their investigation.
Police responded to a call at 1250 North Bridge Street, where they uncovered drug paraphernalia and suspected narcotics inside a hotel room. K9 Reg, a narcotics detection dog, was deployed and alerted officers to a vehicle in the parking lot. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of 141 grams of cocaine and 440 grams of methamphetamine.

Arrests & Ongoing Investigation
Nicholas Grooms, 39, of Chillicothe, was arrested at the scene for a probation violation warrant. Additional felony charges are pending lab results.
