CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – The city of Chillicothe is gearing up for its highly anticipated annual community yard sales, set to coincide with the city’s large-item pickup program. In an official announcement released on April 26, 2024, city officials unveiled the schedule for this year’s yard sale events, offering residents an opportunity to declutter their homes and find new treasures.
Residents participating in the community yard sales will enjoy a special perk: those holding yard sales during the week preceding their scheduled large-item pickup will have their permit fees waived. However, individuals opting to hold yard sales on weekends not aligned with their large-item pickup dates will be required to pay a $5.00 fee.
The schedule for the community yard sales is as follows:
Monday Trash Pick-Up
- Yard Sale: May 24, May 25, May 26, May 27
- Large Item Pick-Up: May 28 to May 31 (No Pick-Up on May 27 – Memorial Day)
Tuesday Trash Pick-Up
- Yard Sale: May 31, June 1, June 2
- Large Item Pick-Up: June 3 to June 7
Wednesday Trash Pick-Up
- Yard Sale: June 7, June 8, June 9
- Large Item Pick-Up: June 10 – June 14
Thursday Trash Pick-Up
- Yard Sale: June 14, June 15, June 16
- Large Item Pick-Up: June 17 – June 21
Friday Trash Pick-Up
- Yard Sale: June 21, June 22, June 23
- Large Item Pick-Up: June 24 – June 28
