USA – A new report is aiming at a container that has swept the the fast food world by storm, but now they say this biodegradable item contains a chemical that not only never biodegrades but also adds to the growing environmental crisis.
The “New Food Economy” says that its found that the fibers that make these bowls are exposed to a chemical that can lead to cancer.

These bowls to hold hot, wet, and greasy food, which would quickly destroy any untreated paper product. PFAS is what keeps your lunch from falling into your lap, but studies are showing that these chemicals do not break down in the human body and that can cause cancer.
The chemicals also seep into the soil as the bowls break down, leading to toxic compost.
