Circleville OH- We are writing this article as a warning to residents about a coyote that was spotted in the city. It was around 3:15P.M on June 12th, 2021 while I was sitting on my back porch that I spotted the coyote about 20 yards from my property, near the railroad tracks across from the octagon house on Progress Parkway.
It startled me, as we have tamed animals that roam the neighborhood, so I tried to run the coyote back toward the railroad tracks and into the county. The coyote continued west unfortunately and into the neighborhood of Crites Road, where I lost sight of it. We normally hear the coyotes howling in the night but from a further distance and not in the daylight hours.
If you have outdoor pets, please keep a close eye on them, coyotes can be aggressive hunters.
