Circleville Police Activity Highlights from July 12-14, 2024

CIRCLEVILLE, OH (July 15, 2024) – The Circleville Police Department has released their weekend report detailing a flurry of incidents from July 12th to July 14th. During this period, officers responded to a total of 148 calls, ranging from routine traffic stops to more serious incidents.

The weekend began with routine patrols and traffic stops across various locations within the city. Officers issued warnings and citations for traffic violations on multiple occasions throughout the early morning hours of July 12th. Additionally, extra patrols were conducted in areas such as Lancaster Pike and Dunkel Road to ensure public safety.

As the day progressed, officers responded to a variety of calls including reports of threats and harassment on S Court Street and a stolen vehicle on Edison Avenue. Later in the afternoon, a domestic disturbance on Springhollow Road led to an arrest, while incidents involving property damage and theft were reported on Ludwig-Dresback Road and Pontious Lane, respectively.

The evening brought further challenges, with additional traffic stops and disturbance calls keeping officers busy. A domestic trouble incident on Gumm Place required police intervention, resulting in a report being filed. Officers also responded to multiple false alarms and 911 hang-up calls throughout the night, ensuring each situation was thoroughly investigated.

On July 13th, the pace of incidents continued, including more traffic stops and well-being checks. An incident on US 23 involving a warrant required further investigation, highlighting ongoing law enforcement efforts to address outstanding legal matters within the community.

Throughout the weekend, officers diligently handled various reports, including a notable incident on July 14th where a domestic disturbance on South Street led to an arrest. In addition to responding to calls, officers conducted business checks and provided extra patrols to maintain public safety across the city.
