Circleville Police Handle Variety of Incidents in 24-Hour Period

CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio – Circleville Police officers responded to 37 calls for service on December 2, 2024, addressing a range of incidents across the city.

Traffic and Patrols

Several traffic stops were conducted throughout the day, resulting in warnings, citations, and one report of a suspicious person near U.S. 23. Officers issued citations on Northridge Road and South Washington Street, while warnings were given on South Court Street, Crites Road, and other locations.

Extra patrols were also conducted on Atwater Avenue and Kingston Pike, with both locations checked and cleared by officers.

Accidents and Alarms

The department responded to two accidents: one with injuries on South Washington Street and another without injuries on West Main Street. Reports were taken for both incidents.

Officers also addressed multiple alarm drops throughout the day, including a false alarm on South Court Street and a situation handled by another agency on Summit Avenue.

Notable Incidents

  • Well-Being Check: Emergency personnel were dispatched to Stratford Court for a well-being check, resulting in a report being filed.
  • Unruly Juvenile: Officers responded to an incident involving an unruly juvenile on South Court Street. The situation was resolved on the scene without transport.
  • Threats and Harassment: A report was taken on Barry Drive after a complaint about threats and harassment.
  • Trespassing: Officers responded to a trespassing call on South Court Street, with a report taken.
  • Burglary: A burglary on South Court Street was investigated, with officers filing a report.

Arrests and Missing Persons

An arrest was made following a parking complaint on Watt Street late in the evening. Earlier in the day, officers also took a report of a runaway on Tower Court.

Miscellaneous

Officers responded to two 911 hang-ups, one of which was investigated on East Union Street but resulted in no findings. A report of a drunk driver on Nicholas Drive was cleared after the driver was not located.
