The Circleville Police Department responded to a wide variety of incidents throughout the city on November 14, 2024, including traffic stops, well-being checks, parking complaints, and reports of suspicious activity. Several arrests and investigations were also made.
The day began early with a traffic stop on Logan Street at 12:01 a.m., where a citation was issued. At 1:35 a.m., officers responded to an alarm drop on Edwards Road, which was cleared by Fire/EMS.
A well-being check was conducted on East Franklin Street at 4:06 a.m., and at 5:32 a.m., an injury accident occurred on North Court Street. The incident was handled by another agency.
At 6:07 a.m., an alarm drop on Chatham Court was cleared without further action. The morning continued with a domestic disturbance report at 10:27 a.m. on Lancaster Pike, which resulted in a report being filed, and a trespassing call on South Court Street at 12:18 p.m., also leading to a report.
Officers were called to a miscellaneous complaint on South Court Street at 2:07 p.m., but no report was filed. Similarly, a parking complaint on East Ohio Street at 2:54 p.m. was resolved without further documentation.
At 3:32 p.m., a well-being check was initiated on North Pickaway Street, but the subject was gone upon arrival. A report was taken later at 3:36 p.m. on Elm Avenue after officers responded to a report of a drunk individual.
A traffic offense was reported on Cottage Hill Lane at 3:43 p.m., but the vehicle was gone by the time officers arrived. A complaint about trash dumping on Logan Street at 3:51 p.m. was also investigated but did not result in a report.
A civil process paper was served on East Union Street at 4:01 p.m., and a 911 hang-up call at 4:03 p.m. was resolved with no further issues.
As the evening approached, officers conducted traffic stops at 5:42 p.m. on Crites Road and at 7:28 p.m. on U.S. 23 South, both of which resulted in warnings. At 6:00 p.m., a suspicious person was reported on North Court Street, but no further action was taken.
A parking complaint was reported on South Scioto Street at 6:28 p.m., leading to a report being filed, and a natural gas or electric issue was resolved at 6:35 p.m. on Stihl Avenue.
At 7:09 p.m., another well-being check was conducted on Watt Street and was cleared. A suspicious person was reported on Rustic Court at 8:07 p.m., and a report was filed.
At 8:22 p.m., officers responded to a juvenile complaint on Atwater Avenue, gathering information for the ongoing situation. Later, at 9:03 p.m., a warrant arrest was made on Stella Avenue, followed by another traffic stop on Crites Road at 9:05 p.m., resulting in a warning.
The night ended with a suspicious person call on Atwater Avenue at 10:19 p.m. that led to no report, and a fire-related call on Pittsburgh Road at 11:22 p.m., where mutual aid was requested from the Circleville Fire Department. The fire was contained, and the situation was handled.
Finally, a report of an animal issue on Turner Drive at 11:39 p.m. was cleared without incident.
