Circleville, OH – The Circleville Police Department responded to a series of incidents on October 28, 2024, that included traffic stops, welfare checks, and various reports of theft and assault.
The day began just after midnight with a traffic stop on E Mound St, resulting in a citation being issued. Later in the early morning, officers conducted extra patrols on N Court St and a well-being check on Clark Dr, both of which were deemed okay.
At 5:06 AM, police responded to an alarm drop on S Washington St, where a squad transported an individual to the hospital. Another well-being check around 9:09 AM also resulted in a transport to the hospital.
Officers reported a non-injury accident on N Court St at 9:41 AM, followed by a juvenile complaint on E Franklin St, which did not require a report. A 911 hang-up call was checked and found to be okay at 11:05 AM.
The police dealt with a variety of incidents throughout the day, including a theft reported on Atwater Ave at 12:23 PM and another theft on N Court St at 6:23 PM. Additionally, a report of threats or harassment was taken later that evening on S Court St.
Several traffic stops were made throughout the day, with warnings issued on E Ohio St and S Court St. Officers also served civil process paperwork on E Main St and handled other juvenile complaints, with some incidents resulting in no reports necessary.
As the evening progressed, police responded to additional welfare checks and suspicious person reports. Notably, a report of a drunk driver on Pontious Rd was checked but did not lead to further action.
