A range of incidents were reported throughout Circleville on January 16, 2025, according to the latest report from the Circleville Police Department. The day included multiple traffic stops, welfare checks, domestic disturbances, and other community concerns.

Key Incidents:

Traffic Stops and Warnings: Circleville Police conducted several traffic stops throughout the day. Notably, warnings were issued on US 23, E Main St, and Walnut St. Citations were issued for traffic violations on E Main St and Fairview Blvd, while other drivers received warnings.

Domestic Disputes and Arrests: The police responded to multiple domestic disputes, including incidents on York St and South Court St. An arrest was made following a domestic disturbance on York St. Officers also took a report on a domestic issue on South Court St.

Well-Being Checks: Circleville officers performed several welfare checks on individuals throughout the day. A welfare check on Atwater Ave was initially marked as “Gone on Arrival” after the person could not be located. Later that evening, another welfare check was conducted on Atwater Ave, where the individual was found to be safe.

Fire and Mutual Aid: At 3:23 a.m., the Circleville Police Department requested mutual aid from the Columbus Fire Department (CFD) for a fire at Hutchison St. No injuries were reported, and the call was cleared once CFD responded.

Other Incidents:

A parking complaint was reported on Ridgewood Dr, and a report was taken.
A juvenile complaint was reported on South Pickaway St, and it is currently being handled by another agency.
A fight was reported on W Main St at approximately 10:33 p.m., and a report was taken by responding officers.
In addition, extra patrols were conducted throughout the day on several streets, including Lancaster Pkwy, Pontious Rd, and Ridgeview Dr, as part of the Circleville Police Department’s ongoing efforts to ensure community safety.
