Circleville, Ohio – Circleville Police responded to a variety of incidents throughout the day on January 27, 2025, including traffic stops, theft reports, disturbances, and suspicious activity.
Early in the morning, police conducted several traffic stops, including one on US 23 S where a warning was issued at 12:57 a.m. Later, at 3:17 a.m., a repossession was reported at Plaza Drive, followed by another repossession incident on South Court Street at 1:21 a.m.
By 8:29 a.m., a theft was reported on Seyfert Avenue, prompting police to take a report. Officers also conducted an extra patrol in the area, which was cleared at 8:47 a.m. The morning hours saw continued police activity, with a traffic stop on Dunkel Road resulting in a citation issued at 9:10 a.m. and a domestic disturbance reported on Caroline Court at 9:55 a.m.
Other incidents included a disturbance on Ridgeview Drive at 11:12 a.m., a trespassing complaint on South Court Street at 11:18 a.m., and a report of assault and a traffic offense on North Court Street at 11:53 a.m.
Throughout the afternoon, multiple thefts and suspicious activity reports were filed, including another theft on East Main Street at 2:11 p.m. Police also responded to a property release on East Franklin Street, which was cleared at 1:44 p.m. At 5:02 p.m., a report of threats and harassment was taken on East Ohio Street.
Evening incidents included a breaking and entering report on Watt Street at 6:27 p.m. and a traffic stop on South Court Street at 6:04 p.m., which led to an arrest. A few minutes later, police responded to an alarm drop call on East Ohio Street, which was canceled before arrival. They also checked suspicious persons at various locations throughout the evening, including at 7:43 p.m. on East Ohio Street and 9:18 p.m. on East Main Street, with both incidents being cleared without further issues.
Late-night incidents included a juvenile complaint at 9:38 p.m. on West Main Street, and another suspicious person call at 11:43 p.m. on East Ohio Street, which was also resolved. Police issued multiple warnings throughout the day for minor infractions, including dirt bike and ATV complaints on South Court Street at 8:58 p.m. and traffic stops on West Mound Street at 9:24 p.m. and South Court Street at 9:48 p.m.
A well-being check was also conducted on East High Street at 10:06 p.m., and all officers returned reports accordingly.
Overall, a total of 29 incidents were reported and addressed by Circleville Police on January 27.
