CIRCLEVILLE, OH — Circleville Police responded to a variety of incidents throughout the city on January 2, 2025, ranging from disturbances to accidents and juvenile complaints.
The day began early with a disturbance call on Barry Drive at 3:29 a.m., followed by a well-being check on Watt Street at 4:31 a.m., where no further action was required. Just after 5:00 a.m., officers responded to a domestic disturbance on Barry Drive, and one individual was transported to the hospital for evaluation.
A repossession was reported on South Scioto Street around 6:00 a.m., followed by a dropped alarm call on Walnut Creek Pike shortly after. Officers continued with routine patrols, checking areas such as Pontious Road, Lancaster Pike, and Willow Lane.
At 10:14 a.m., a civil process paper was served on John Street, while another was successfully served on Plaza Drive at 10:36 a.m. A series of additional checks occurred through the morning and afternoon, including a well-being check on South Court Street at 12:40 p.m.
A found property report was taken on East Franklin Street at 3:46 p.m., while officers responded to a series of juvenile complaints throughout the day. The first complaint on Pontious Road was marked as “gone on arrival,” and another on East Franklin Street involved an unruly juvenile, which did not result in a report.
Multiple accidents were reported on U.S. 22, including two non-injury accidents that were handled by other agencies. A hit-skip accident occurred on North Court Street at 6:04 p.m., with a report taken.
In the evening, officers responded to a vehicle lockout at 6:57 p.m. on East Franklin Street, as well as a request for mutual aid from the Circleville Fire Department at 7:48 p.m. Officers also conducted a well-being check on U.S. Route 23 at 7:59 p.m., which was resolved on the scene.
Other calls of interest included a traffic offense on East Main Street, which was marked “gone on arrival,” and a miscellaneous complaint on U.S. Route 23 at 8:32 p.m. Officers also handled juvenile complaints and disabled vehicles throughout the night.
As the day ended, officers dealt with an alarm drop call on U.S. Route 23 at 9:23 p.m., which was cancelled prior to their arrival, and an alarm drop on Highland Avenue at 9:34 p.m., which was handled by the fire and EMS units on scene.
The night concluded with a disturbance call on East Main Street at 11:34 p.m. and a traffic stop, both of which were handled with no further issues.
In total, the Circleville Police Department responded to 36 incidents, providing a broad range of services to the community throughout the day and night.
