Circleville Police Report: Summary of December 30 Incidents

Circleville, OH — The Circleville Police Department responded to a range of incidents on December 30, 2024, including traffic stops, disturbances, and theft reports.

Early in the morning, at 12:31 a.m., officers issued a warning during a traffic stop on South Court Street. Shortly thereafter, a disturbance was reported on Watt Street at 1:50 a.m., resulting in a report being taken.

At 3:40 a.m., police were called to investigate a suspicious person on South Court Street, but the individual had left the area by the time officers arrived. An alarm drop was reported on West Main Street at 7:40 a.m., but the call was canceled before officers reached the scene.

Throughout the morning, officers dealt with various civil process papers, finding no subjects at the locations on Atwater Avenue and East Main Street. An extra patrol was conducted on Lancaster Pike at 10:10 a.m., which checked out without incident.

Several theft reports were logged, including incidents on U.S. Route 23 and McCutcheon Road, with reports taken for both. Domestic disturbances were also reported on McCulloch Avenue and West Main Street, with the latter being referred to another agency for handling.

In the evening, the department responded to a 911 hang-up call on North Pickaway Street and a report of fraud on East Mill Street, both of which resulted in reports being taken. Additionally, a juvenile complaint was reported on U.S. Route 23, but officers were unable to locate any involved parties.

The day concluded with a burglary in progress reported on East Union Street, but no report was taken as the situation was resolved without further incident.
