CIRCLEVILLE, OH – The Circleville Police Department responded to a variety of incidents over the weekend, from traffic stops to suspicious activities. The following highlights summarize key events from October 4-6, 2024.
On October 4, officers began their patrol at midnight with reports of suspicious circumstances on Long Street, but were unable to locate any issues upon arrival. A series of traffic stops occurred throughout the early morning hours, with one resulting in an arrest on East Main Street.
As the day progressed, police handled multiple incidents involving suspicious persons and vehicles, including an alarming report of thefts on North Court Street and East Franklin Street. Both incidents resulted in reports being filed. Officers also responded to several calls regarding well-being checks and 911 hang-ups, which were resolved without significant issues.
Later that evening, the police reported an assault on West Main Street, leading to a formal report. There were also several warrant-related incidents, with officers unable to locate individuals associated with various warrants.
The weekend continued with more traffic stops and additional reports of suspicious behavior, including multiple hang-ups on 911 calls. On October 6, officers arrested a suspect during a traffic stop on North Court Street.
Throughout the weekend, the Circleville Police Department issued warnings for several traffic violations, indicating an ongoing effort to maintain safety on the roads.
