CIRCLEVILLE, OH — The Circleville Police Department responded to a range of incidents on October 7, 2024, highlighting various public safety concerns and ongoing investigations.
The day began with a traffic stop resulting in a warning at 12:31 AM, followed by a report of a suspicious person on Avon Drive at 1:15 AM, where threats and harassment were reported, leading to a formal report. Noise complaints were also addressed during the early hours, with officers checking on several noise disturbances throughout the morning.
Notable incidents included a theft reported on Logan Street at 9:03 AM, and a stolen vehicle reported shortly after on Rosewood Avenue at 9:17 AM. Officers responded to multiple alarm drops, both fire-related and for security, with most being handled on scene without transport.
Threats and harassment were reported again on Nutmeg Court at 11:30 AM, and later on Barry Drive at 6:46 PM. A domestic disturbance was also reported on Lawnwood Court at 7:46 PM, resulting in a formal report being taken.
In addition, police conducted well-being checks and followed up on vandalism reports, with several cases classified as gone on arrival or unable to locate. Officers also dealt with property damage incidents and found property throughout the day.
As the evening progressed, the department handled multiple reports of disturbances and suspicious persons, with some cases resolved without incident. A total of 43 records were documented by the end of the day, indicating a busy shift for local law enforcement.
