CIRCLEVILLE, OH – April 10, 2025 — The Circleville Police Department responded to a total of 26 incidents on Tuesday, April 9, ranging from alarm drops and 911 hang-ups to welfare checks, civil issues, and a warrant report.

The day began in the early hours with a series of alarm drops reported on US 23, Lancaster Pike, Monticello Street, and South Court Street, all of which were determined to be false alarms or checked okay.

A fire call on Monticello Street was canceled before mutual aid from Circleville Fire could arrive on the scene. Later in the morning, police investigated a disabled vehicle on Lancaster Pike, but no formal report was taken.

Officers conducted multiple well-being checks, with one on Lincoln Avenue resulting in the subject being gone on arrival, while a check on Logan Street was found to be okay. A third well-being check on South Court Street later in the evening led to a report being taken.

Additional calls included a juvenile complaint on North Court Street, a fraud report on East Mound Street, and found property on Timberline Drive, which was documented with a report.

Police also served several civil process papers on streets including North Pickaway Street, West Water Street, and Gale Court, though in some cases the subjects were not located.

Other notable incidents included threats/harassment on Georgia Road, a homeless person report on North Court Street, and a parking complaint on Hayward Street, all of which concluded with no subjects found or no report needed.

While most calls were resolved without incident, the department continues to encourage residents to report suspicious activity and prioritize community safety.
