Circleville Police Respond to Domestic Disputes, Warrants, and Explosion Report

CIRCLEVILLE, OH — The Circleville Police Department handled a variety of incidents on Monday, February 3, 2025, ranging from warrant arrests and domestic disputes to a report of an explosion on E. Mill St.

Among the notable incidents:

  • Explosion Reported on E. Mill St. – Authorities responded to a report of an explosion at 10:02 p.m. According to reports, a flammable content can explode in an outdoor fire spreading fire onto rooftops in the area. The Fire department was called out to the scene no additional fires were started.
  • Domestic Disputes – Officers responded to multiple domestic incidents, including on Watt St. (7:14 a.m.), W. Mound St. (7:48 p.m.), and Clark Dr. (8:15 p.m.), with reports being taken at each scene.
  • Warrant Arrests and Attempts – Police made an arrest on S. Court St. at 3:30 p.m., but were unable to locate individuals with outstanding warrants on Sumpter Ave., Turner Dr., and Logan St. earlier in the day.
  • Traffic Stops and Citations – Officers issued multiple citations throughout the day, including stops on S. Washington St. (8:41 a.m.), Kingston Pike (6:52 p.m.), and S. Court St. (5:45 p.m.). Warnings were issued during stops on W. Mound St. (11:00 a.m.) and S. Pickaway St. (10:31 p.m.).
  • Breaking & Entering – A report of breaking and entering on N. Pickaway St. (6:29 p.m.) was investigated, but officers were unable to locate any suspects.
  • Extra Patrols and Miscellaneous Calls – Officers conducted extra patrols in several areas, including N. Court St., Sycamore Dr., and Pontious Rd., all of which were checked and deemed okay.
