Circleville Police Respond to Multiple Incidents on December 19, 2024

The Circleville Police Department responded to a variety of incidents throughout the city on December 19, 2024, including traffic stops, thefts, disturbances, and other public safety concerns.

The day began with a traffic stop on North Court Street at 12:14 a.m., resulting in a citation being issued. A short time later, at 1:07 a.m., officers responded to a report of a drunk driver on Lancaster Pike, but the individual was checked and deemed okay. At 3:11 a.m., a business check was conducted on North Court Street, and the area was cleared with no issues.

Around 7:32 a.m., police investigated a suspicious person report on South Court Street, and by 8:24 a.m., a property damage report was filed on Logan Street. Several other 911 calls were made throughout the morning, including an accidental 911 call at 1:28 p.m. on East Mound Street, which was also checked and deemed a mistake.

The police also responded to multiple theft incidents. A report of theft was taken at 9:56 a.m. on East Franklin Street, and another was filed at 1:53 p.m. on Rustic Drive. An additional theft report was taken at 1:08 p.m. on East Franklin Street.

Other notable calls included a disturbance on West Franklin Street at 4:22 p.m., which was unresolved by the time officers arrived, and a report of assault at 6:41 p.m. on West Mill Street. Additionally, officers responded to multiple animal-related calls, including a miscellaneous complaint at 11:12 a.m. on South Court Street, and another at 4:00 p.m. on Nicholas Drive, though no report was taken in the latter case.

Several traffic stops were conducted throughout the day, with multiple warnings and a few citations issued. One traffic stop led to an arrest on East Ohio Street at 8:42 p.m. The evening ended with a noise complaint on Logan Street at 10:56 p.m., which was checked and resolved.

In total, Circleville police handled 35 incidents on December 19, including traffic enforcement, criminal investigations, and public safety concerns.
