Circleville, OH — Circleville police officers were busy over the weekend, handling a wide range of incidents across the city, including traffic stops, thefts, domestic disputes, and suspicious activity.
On Friday, August 9, 2024, police received an alarm drop at 1:57 AM on North Pickaway Street, which was later canceled before units arrived. Shortly afterward, at 2:20 AM, officers checked on a suspicious person along US 23 South and determined everything was okay. Just before 3:00 AM, a theft was reported on US 23, and at 3:18 AM, officers responded to South Washington Street regarding another suspicious person, leading to a report being filed.
As the day continued, a domestic incident on Lancaster Pike at 4:45 AM resulted in one individual being transported to the hospital by squad. Various other calls followed throughout the morning, including a well-being check, parking complaints, and extra patrols, with most cases being cleared without further issues.
In the afternoon, at 2:08 PM, police responded to a parking complaint on East Mound Street, which was resolved without incident. However, a burglary was reported on Watt Street at 2:13 PM, leading to an official report. Later in the day, a non-injury traffic accident occurred on South Court Street at 2:17 PM, resulting in a citation being issued. A similar non-injury accident on Morris Road at 2:53 PM also led to a report.
The weekend continued with more incidents, including a trespassing call on East Main Street at 6:54 PM on Saturday, August 10, where a report was taken. An hour later, at 7:58 PM, a juvenile complaint on Nicholas Drive was addressed with another report filed.
On Sunday, August 11, police dealt with a range of activities starting with a non-injury accident on US 23 at 9:16 AM, handled by another agency. Neighbor trouble on Hayward Street later in the day at 10:49 AM led to a report, with another neighbor dispute on the same street at 2:50 PM resulting in an arrest. Officers also responded to a well-being check on North Court Street at 4:41 PM, which required squad transport to the hospital.
Throughout the weekend, police conducted multiple traffic stops, issued citations, and responded to several alarm drops and suspicious activity calls, many of which were resolved without incident.
