Circleville Police Respond to Multiple Incidents Over Three-Day Period

CIRCLEVILLE, OHIO – The Circleville Police Department responded to nearly 100 incidents between February 28 and March 2, 2025, ranging from thefts and traffic violations to domestic disturbances and well-being checks.

Traffic and Accident Reports

Officers responded to several non-injury accidents throughout the city, with incidents reported on E. Mound St., N. Scioto St., and S. Court St. Citations were issued for traffic violations, including stops on E. Main St., S. Court St., and Sycamore Dr. Multiple drivers received warnings for traffic infractions, while a drunk driving complaint on S. Court St. was checked and cleared.

Theft and Burglary Investigations

  • A theft was reported on E. Union St. with a report taken by police.
  • A burglary occurred on Pearl St. on February 28, with an investigation ongoing.
  • A separate theft case on Florence Chapel Pike was handed over to another agency.

Domestic and Disturbance Calls

  • Officers responded to Springhollow Rd. on March 1 and 2 for domestic trouble incidents, with reports taken in both cases.
  • A disturbance was reported on S. Pickaway St. on February 28, leading to a filed report.
  • Another disturbance on Logan St. in the early hours of March 2 resulted in police action.

Well-Being and Safety Checks

Police conducted numerous well-being checks throughout the city, including on Pontious Ln., Logan St., and E. Ohio St. In one case on Atwater Ave., a person was transported to the hospital for medical attention. Several other checks were resolved with no further action needed.

Other Notable Incidents

  • A fraud case on S. Court St. was reported, with police taking action.
  • Trespassing incidents led to an arrest on S. Court St. on March 1, while another case resulted in a report being filed.
  • A 911 hang-up call on Nicholas Dr. was investigated, but officers were unable to locate the source.
  • An alarm drop at a business on US 23 was checked and a report was taken.
