Circleville Police Respond to Over 100 Incidents Over the Weekend

CIRCLEVILLE, OH – The Circleville Police Department was busy over the weekend, responding to 107 incidents between March 14 and March 16, 2025. Calls ranged from routine patrol checks to arrests for various offenses.

Authorities conducted multiple extra patrols throughout the city, ensuring safety in residential areas and business districts. Several well-being checks were performed, with most resulting in either “Checked Okay” or “Gone on Arrival.”

Among the more notable incidents, officers responded to a reported burglary on Atwater Avenue on March 15, where a report was taken. Additionally, there were two reported assaults—one on North Pickaway Street on both March 15 and March 16, with police documenting both cases.

Traffic enforcement remained a priority, with multiple traffic stops leading to warnings or citations. A significant case involved a reported drunk driver on South Court Street, though officers were unable to locate the vehicle upon arrival.

Juvenile-related incidents were also reported, including an unruly juvenile situation on North Court Street and complaints in other neighborhoods, with some cases requiring formal reports.

Property crimes and disputes were also prominent, with officers investigating multiple theft reports, including one on Morris Road and another on U.S. Route 23 South. A fraud report was made on Rosewood Avenue, though no official report was taken.

Domestic disputes continued to be a concern, with police responding to several calls regarding domestic trouble on March 15 and 16, including an incident on West Water Street that resulted in a formal report. A related threats and harassment call on South Court Street on March 16 led to an arrest.

In collaboration with other emergency services, officers assisted in fire-related incidents, including a fire department response to a complaint on Lewis Road, which was successfully contained.

The Circleville Police Department continues to monitor the city closely, emphasizing safety, proactive patrols, and community engagement.
