Circleville Police Respond to Various Incidents, Including Thefts and Burglary

CIRCLEVILLE, OH – The Circleville Police Department responded to a variety of incidents on Thursday, March 27, 2025, ranging from routine traffic stops to reports of theft and burglary.

Early in the morning, officers conducted a traffic stop on South Pickaway Street at 1:48 a.m., issuing a warning. Multiple attempts were made to serve warrants on U.S. Route 23, but the individuals were gone upon arrival. A suspicious vehicle in the area was checked and found to be okay.

Throughout the day, officers responded to several alarm drops at businesses and residences on East Main Street, North Court Street, and other locations, all of which were determined to be false alarms. Reports of property damage were taken on East Ohio Street, Lancaster Pike, and Nicholas Square, where a theft was also reported.

Additional reports of theft were made on Nicholas Drive, and a burglary was reported on Pontious Lane during the evening hours. A well-being check on South Washington Street was conducted, with officers determining the individual was safe.

The department also responded to a fire call on Walnut Street, a disturbance on North Court Street, and a parking complaint on South Western Avenue. Several 911 hang-ups were investigated, with each incident determined to be non-emergent.

Later in the evening, a report of a possible drunk driver on South Court Street was made, but officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

In total, the Circleville Police Department handled 22 calls for service throughout the day, ensuring community safety and addressing a range of concerns.
