
CIRCLEVILLE, OH – The Circleville Police Department responded to a variety of incidents on March 26, 2025, ranging from traffic stops and theft reports to well-being checks and accident investigations.
Criminal & Suspicious Activity
- Suspicious Person: Officers investigated a report of a suspicious person on U.S. 23, resulting in a report being taken.
- Theft Reports: Authorities responded to multiple theft incidents, including one on Lancaster Pike and another on U.S. 23.
- Trespassing: A report of trespassing on Second Avenue was logged, but no formal report was filed.
- Threats & Harassment: Officers responded to threats or harassment complaints on W. Mound Street and Pontious Lane, but no reports were taken.
Traffic & Road Incidents
- Traffic Stops: Several traffic stops were conducted, with one resulting in a warning issued on E. Main Street.
- Traffic Accidents: A non-injury accident on Nicholas Drive led to a citation, while an injury accident on N. Court Street resulted in a report being taken.
- Traffic Offenses: A traffic-related offense was reported on Walnut Creek Pike, with officers taking a report.
- Road Hazards: Officers responded to a traffic jam on Kingston Pike, but the issue was gone upon arrival.
Public Safety & Well-Being Checks
- Well-Being Checks: Authorities performed well-being checks on E. Union Street and Stihl Avenue, with one individual transported to the hospital.
- Homeless Individual: A report was taken regarding a homeless person on N. Pickaway Street.
- Alarm Drops: Several alarm drops were checked, including locations on S. Court Street, Renick Avenue, and U.S. 23 S, all found to be secure.

- Fire Assistance: The Circleville Fire Department was requested for mutual aid on Duvall Road.
- Animal Complaint: Officers responded to Turner Drive for an animal-related call, but the issue was gone upon arrival.
