Sunrise Rotary honored members who passed away by remembering their club service and contributions to the community at the May 28 meeting, held at Starkey Pavilion at Mary Virginia Crites Hannan Park.
Club member Billy Barbo, pastor of Circleville First Baptist Church, urged Rotarians to take time from their busy lives to reflect and remember those who left their mark in the world.
“It’s good to remember and it’s good to know we will be remembered,” Barbo said as members gathered at the Rotary Memorial Garden near the pavilion. The engraved names of club members who died are on a marble plaque located at the center of the garden.
