PICKAWAY COUNTY – Arbor Day came early this year after several local groups banded together to plant trees in the community.

The Circleville Tree Commission, the Circleville Future Farmers of America, and Alistair Reynolds from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources took advantage of a beautiful day this week and planted the future of Barthelmas Park and Smith Park. 34 of these trees were planted in Barthelmas and 10 were planted in Smith Park.

In the future, these trees will offer boundaries to the park and shade during exhibitions, picnics, or just rest.

The funding for the trees was provided by a grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
